Bigpond smtp server settings dropped coming in outlook

 Most of Telstra user prefer to use outlook for accessing Bigpond email account to send or receive emails. While sending email users are keep getting notification that Smtp server is not working contact Internet service provider. To fix this problem you need to check your outgoing mail settings are correct or up to date. This problem can also come due to after changing Bigpond password it’s not updated.

 

Check your Outgoing smtp server settings

1.  Open outlook Classic app

2.  Go to file option

3.  Click account settings

4.  Select Bigpond account

5.  Click repair option

6.  Select repair manually

7.  Check password is update

8.  Click outgoing server settings

9.  Check it should be (Smtp.telstra.com_

10.  Port Number: 465 or 587

11.  Click save or done

12.  Do Test mail to check Email are going.

If the problem does not solve than check VPN is not on because VPN create barrier between server connection or contact Bigpond Customer Support Number.
