How to setup BigPond webmail in outlook?

 Are you Telstra Bigpond email user well that’s good as Bigpond is the one of the best email services in Australia. Setup Bigpond email account depends on you want server settings based on Imap or Pop. Here let’s find the suitable Bigpond email settings for outlook.

 

Steps to Setup Bigpond webmail in Outlook

1.  Open Outlook 365 app in system

2.  Click on the file tab at top left corner

3.  Click Add account

4.  Choose Account server Imap or Pop any one of them (Recommended Setting by Telstra Is Imap)

5.  Enter BigPond Email account details

•  Enter You Bigpond Email Address

•  Select Account Type IMAP or POP3

•  For Incoming Mail Server (mail.bigpond.com) can use in Imap and Pop both

•  For Outgoing Mail server (mail.bigpond.com)

•  Type Bigpond username as email address

•  Enter Bigpond email password

 

6.  Now Click on More Setting

7.  Go to Outgoing server settings option

•  Check or Tick Outgoing server authentication

8.  Now go to Advanced option

•  Port Number for Imap Incoming mail 993 and encryption security SSL

•  Port Number for POP Incoming mail 995 and encryption security SSL

•  Port Number for Imap and Pop outgoing mail 465 and 587 and encryption security SSL

•  Click done

 

After completion of Bigpond mail setup in outlook do Test mail. If face any issue like incoming or outgoing mail problem than contact Bigpond customer care.
