Bigpond unable to receive Hotmail emails
In the case that your Bigpond email address does not receive any messages from Hotmail, your issue might stem from spam filters, blocked users, email forwarding complications, or even problems on Telstra’s server.
To fix the issue, first, access Bigpond
Webmail on the official Telstra website, then check the Spam or Junk files to
find out if Hotmail emails are being filtered. If applicable, mark them as “Not
Spam” to allow them in the future.
Now check to see if the sender’s email address
is blocked. From your settings, confirm if the email is on the blocked senders
list. If the Hotmail domain (@hotmail.com) is indeed blocked, take it off the
list and attempt to send a test email using your Hotmail account.
If you enable email forwarding, make sure
emails are not being sent to a different address. Specific messages might not
make it to your principal inbox because some filtration settings might block
them.
If this does not work, check Telstra Service
Status to confirm whether there are any email server downtimes that could have
caused the problem for Bigpond Webmail. If everything is right, try sending a
Hotmail email from a different account to see if the issue still persists.
