Firstly, launch Windows Live Mail, then look for the “Accounts” option from the toolbar. Thereafter, click on “Email” to add a new email account. Enter your Bigpond email address as a whole, provide your password, and fill in the display name that you wish anyone to see when email is dispatched by you. Also, tick the checkbox which states “Manually configure server settings” and proceed by clicking on “Next.”

For the server, choose IMAP, which is the protocol recommended as IMAP is good for syncing across multiple devices. The incoming server address will be imap.telstra.com.
