How to Initialize & Setup Bigpond Emails in Outlook

 A very well-known email client service Bigpond email is one of the most accessed email clients on the web. Now with the latest update, Bigpond has brought in a feature where a Bigpond email account can be connected to Outlook email. All necessary details and instructions for making changes to the account are given below in points.

·       On the user's device open up Outlook.

·       Then the user will have to click on the "File" tab in the top right corner of the screen.

·       Click on Add Account in the account information section.

·       Then head for additional server types or Manual setup and click on Next.

·       The user will have to select either POP or IMAP server to configure.

·       Once selected click on Next.

·       In the next field, the user will have to type in their name, and Bigpond email address on the mentioned field.

·       For the incoming mail server click on IMAP and enter imap.telstra.com in the incoming mail server field.

·       Next is for the outgoing mail server, enter smtp.telstra.com in the server field.

·       Now the user will also have to make changes on More Settings, there user will have to choose Outgoing Server.

·       The user must check the box which says, My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

·       Add the information on the Advanced tab. After that the process is complete, click on Ok to save the added settings.

·       Click Next so that Outlook with test the settings.

·       And once the user clicks Finish the process will be complete.
